Unlawfully endeavouring to conceal the birth of a child by secreting and disposing of the dead body at Almondsbury on 17th October 1862.

15/12/1862 Pleaded guilty and sentenced to 6 weeks hard labour.  Term expired 25/1/1863.

Thornbury servant aged 18, 4ft 11.5 inches, dark brown hair, dark grey eyes, short face and sallow complexion. Small mole over right eyebrow, one on right and ten on left of chest.

Stealing …. wearing apparel the property of Samuel Morgan at Thornbury.

21/10/1868 Pleaded guilty 0f larceny with previous conviction and sentenced to 7 years penal servitude. To Mill Bank Prison.

Thornbury servant aged 25, 5ft 3.5 inches, dark hair, grey eyes, long face, and sallow complexion. Has lost top of right little finger.   Single with 3 children.  3 previous convictions for stealing.

Stealing 3 sack bags value the property of Joseph Staley at Thornbury on 28th October 1868. Also stealing an iron head of a hatchet the property of Mary Mogg at Olveston on 26th December 1868.

16/5/1869 Pleaded guilty of larceny from his master with previous conviction and sentenced to 6 calendar months hard labour. Discharged 16/9/1869.

Thornbury labourer aged 21, 5ft 6 inches, brown hair, hazel eyes, oval face and fresh complexion. Scar under right eye moles on …  Married with no family.

At Cromhall at one o’clock in the morning on 19/1/1873 entering the property of the Earl of Ducie with the purpose of taking and destroying game and also for assaulting and beating the gamekeepers.

19/3/1873 Pleaded guilty of assaulting gamekeeper with a gun when night poaching and sentenced to 12 months hard labour.

Crossways nr Thornbury. labourer aged 29, 5ft 5.5 inches, brown hair, dark blue eyes, oval face and fresh complexion. Cut on right elbow and back of left hand, arms freckled.  Native of Thornbury, married with 3 children. Wife – Ruth Jones, Crossways.

19/3/1873 Pleaded guilty of assaulting gamekeeper with a gun when night poaching and sentenced to 6 months hard labour.

Crossways labourer aged 40, 5ft 4 inches with brown hair, grey eyes, long face and fresh complexion. Cut on right fingers and lost 3 front teeth.  Native of Thornbury, single. Father – Edmond Hicks, Crossways.

Unlawfully maliciously and feloniously maiming and wounding a mare the property of George Taylor at Cromhall on 30th October 1874.

7/1/1875 Guilty of feloniously wounding a mare and sentenced to 3 months hard labour

Thornbury labourer aged 44, 5ft 7 inches, black hair, brown eyes, oval face and sallow complexion. Face and arms freckled, mole left arm and left shoulder and 2 moles left side of neck.  Native of Kilcote, married with 6 children. Previously fined for assault. Wife – Sarah Sims, Milbury Heath
