Search by STREET or LOCAL AREA
First, select a Street or Local Area from the 'Street or Local Area' box and then if you wish to select a single year, open the 'Year' box to select which year you wish to look for. Then click on the 'SEARCH' button.
Note - the earlier directories did not always show addresses,
and when they were shown the names of the streets were often different to those that are
in use today. To simplify searching we have shown the name used in the original directories
against each entry, but grouped the records so that they can searched using the modern street names,
or the names of a local area.
There are two general categories:
'Unspecified' applies to records where
no address was given.
'Other' applies to addresses which we have not matched up with any of our street or
area groupings.
